UPS will sell 7-Series trucks and SUVs and add an SUV in 2019.
The company will replace the 7- Series with a 7-Max and a new 7-Rear.
The 7-series trucks will go into the market in 2019, while the 7Rear will go in 2021.
The new trucks are based on the 740 and 745 SUVs that will be built at the San Francisco Bay Area auto assembly plant in Fremont, California, according to a company release.
The trucks will have the same size and weight as the 7400 trucks that were sold at the same time as the 8 Series, the release said.
The 7-MAX trucks will be manufactured by the Texas-based Truck and Bus Manufacturing Company, the company said.
The new trucks will come with more power and more capability, but will also be larger.
The trucks will begin arriving in 2019 and the 7Rs are scheduled for deliveries in 2021, the San Jose Mercury News reported.
The news came after the company announced that it plans to build a new plant to produce trucks and vans at its Fremont factory.
The announcement comes after U.S. auto sales dropped 1.2% in the third quarter, according the industry group Kelley Blue Book.
