A father has rescued his son from drowning after he ran out of oxygen and the two were struggling to survive in a trunk.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, Keith and his son, Connor, were running along a lake on the Baffin Island Provincial Park in Nova Scotia when the father heard a loud noise and rushed to help.
The father said he then spotted his son struggling in the trunk of a tree.
He grabbed Connor and tried to pull him out but the father said his son was struggling to breathe.
The two managed to get themselves out of the tree, but Connor could not breathe and the father had to help him.
The man took the son to hospital, where he was later airlifted to hospital for observation.
The incident happened at about 4am on Saturday.
